About Dr. JoAnn “JoJo” Kutsukos, LMHC, CAP
Dr. JoAnn Kutsukos is a licensed mental health counselor and certified addiction professional in the state of Florida. As an experienced therapist who has assisted hundreds of clients in overcoming mental, emotional, and relational distress, she specializes in reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression. Therapy sessions address the automatic, intermediate, and core beliefs and adapt to a preferred belief system.
JoAnn holds her doctoral degree in Counseling Education Supervision from National Louis University located in Tampa, Florida. Her dissertation research was on EMDR to treat addiction and comorbid trauma. JoAnn is currently researching two studies that focus on a pilot study to measure EMDR’s effectiveness with a newly developed inventory. Additionally, another study that is first in this country to research student burnout utilizing Autonomous EMDR. More to be revealed as the projected completion date will be January 2026.
JoAnn is an EMDRIA approved consultant/certified EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) specialist, extensively trained in DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), and CRAFT (community reinforcement and family training), to assist individuals and families overcome their immediate and/or prolonged concerns.
Finally, JoAnn considers it an honor to help those gain purpose and find meaning to their lives.
What To Expect
Your first appointment at Kutsukos Counseling is to assess your presenting issue, inform you of how we would begin the process of assisting you, and determine your preliminary comfort level with your therapist. Sessions would then be scheduled on a basis deemed appropriate and necessary to your need.
Experienced Counseling
Assisting clients suffering from a variety of disorders. The areas of care that specializes in the follows: individuals, couples therapy and relationship issues, such as communication impediments, infidelity, and recurrent conflict management difficulties; compulsive behaviors, such as obsession/compulsiveness, addiction, and interpersonal relationships; specialties include working with individuals with histories of trauma and abuse experiencing PTSD; and mood disorders, such as anxiety and depression.
Flexible Hours
Our counseling services are available Monday through Friday from 10:00 am through 5:00 pm. Contact options via Zoom/audio conferencing are available.
Payment Options
We accept self-pay options such as: Zelle, Paypal, etc. and we will provide a superbill for your services.
